Staff told the board an outreach from Global 1 Media (Brian Shapiro) raised the possibility of acquiring the West Twinpeak site; staff are trying to confirm ownership, survey and lease status and will follow up with the company's counsel. The speaker said some billing and bankruptcy notices were received but that Global 1 Media had since paid, and the district will continue to seek further information before considering acquisition.
Separately, Kenny reported Nevada Gold Mines asked to reserve locations on the new Grindstone tower for microwave dishes once their Everest lease expires next year. The board said any reservation will require a formal proposal, engineering review and committee review; Treasurer Ken will coordinate engineering and financial inputs and the board expects a 2–3 month negotiation timeline once a proposal is received.
