The applicant (Project Turbo, LLC) requested the delay; the commission tabled the matter to Sept. 15, 2025. Chairman Chris Braswell recused from the item; the motion to table passed 3-0 (Hunt absent, Braswell recused).
Staff indicated the DRI results were incomplete and recommended tabling until regional reviews were available. No substantive testimony on the merits of the data center was heard at the Sept. 2 meeting.
