The Union County Board of Elections approved the minutes of the March 9, 2026 meeting with two corrections: Dr. Ricardo Rivas corrected the equipment charging schedule to a two-month cadence rather than three months, and Libby Stevens noted that an order for 80 ink cartridges had not been placed because of uncertainty about future equipment use.
At announcements, Dr. Ricardo Rivas said poll watcher letters of certification will be presented on time to the Election Superintendent and Chief Registrar. Dr. James Fitzgerald said L&A on April 22 will start at 10:00 a.m. because he and Libby Stevens will attend a Chamber of Commerce Legislative Breakfast to hear election updates from State Senator Steve Gooch and State Representative Stan Gunter. The meeting was adjourned at 9:43 a.m. and the next Board of Elections monthly meeting is scheduled for July 13, 2026; there will be no meetings in May or June due to elections.
