Commissioner Harold Collins accepted several contracts and agreements at the March 24 meeting, including a $255,589.50 contract with GMASS, Inc. to reappraise one-third of county properties (Mar 1, 2026–Dec 31, 2027). The contract was recorded in the meeting minutes as accepted by the commissioner.
Collins also accepted a contract with Earth Networks (an AEM subsidiary) to purchase, install and maintain lightning alarm systems at Meeks Park and Elan Soccer Fields. The minutes list $29,979.55 for the first year and $2,917.00 per year for four additional years, for a total contract value of $41,647.55. The systems will extend existing lightning alerts to the lower fields and to soccer fields off Murphy Highway to improve staff and patron safety.
Other items accepted included a DPI copier lease for Building and Development at $119 per month (48 months), and a K&K Insurance accident policy costing $7,284.55 for Apr 5, 2026–Apr 4, 2027 to cover amateur sports participants. The minutes do not record separate votes; all items were accepted by the commissioner and documented in the minutes.
