The Porter Board of Trustees on April 3 awarded a contract to Anglers GC to resurface roughly 13 blocks of town streets with a 2-inch asphalt overlay for $170,239.00.
The board opened five bids earlier in the meeting: A & A Asphalt ($182,962.60), Allen Co. ($186,780.00), Anglers GC ($170,239.00), Glover Associates ($164,478.00), and Steve’s Asphalt ($176,200.00). Board members noted that Anglers GC had previously completed a street project for the town and is locally owned.
Norma Meyer moved to award the bid to Anglers GC; Kristin Eaton seconded. The motion passed unanimously with Whitney Littlefield, Bradah Littlefield, Norma Meyer, and Kristin Eaton voting yes. The board recorded the award in the minutes.
