Trustee Whitney Littlefield said she visited the civic center and found only five round tables available, though eight had originally been purchased; she suggested that people who rent the facility be held responsible for damages. Town Clerk Shirley Herring said one table was broken and she did not know what happened to the other two.
Mayor Bradah Littlefield recommended installing a lock on the gate at the top of the stairs to the basement to prevent unauthorized access, and suggested that the person who unlocks the front door during storms could also unlock that gate when needed. Trustee Clifford Marshall, Jr. commented that things get damaged over time, raising the need for renter accountability or inventory controls.
