Commission approves NV Energy utility easement for Savage Energy upgrades at railport

County surveyor and senior planner Corey Rice (S10) briefed the commission on a straightforward request from NV Energy for an easement to provide utilities to Savage Energy’s Railport upgrades. Rice said staff recommended approval and characterized the item as "pretty simple and cut and dry."
Commissioners moved, seconded and voted to approve the easement; no members spoke in opposition during the public meeting. The approval allows NV Energy to record the easement as part of the Railport project’s utility buildout.
