Prue Board approves minutes, financial reports and $35,867 in August encumbrances

President Tracy Troutman called the Prue Public Schools Board of Education to order at 6:00 p.m. on Aug. 12, 2024, and the board moved through a consent agenda that included approval of the July 15, 2024 regular meeting minutes and the district's August activity and treasurer reports. Trustee Bethanie Horton moved to approve the consent items, with Trustee Caitlyn Owens seconding; the roll-call showed Trustees Troutman, Horton, Owens and Jordan voting yes and Trustee James Willcox recorded as absent.
The board also approved General Fund encumbrances and purchase orders listed in the minutes as PO#141-148. Key line items included a $10,000 blanket order to School Specialty for supplies and desks; $500 for CPR & AED training for Susan Baugher; $1,999 for SAM registration renewal listed under Federal Processing; $22,468.40 for bus repairs to Ross Transportation; and a $900 Chrome Education license from Vivacity Tech. The motion to approve the encumbrances was moved by Trustee Caitlyn Owens and seconded by Trustee Heather Jordan; the vote was recorded as unanimous among the trustees present.
