During public comment and board questioning, residents and commissioners pressed for specifics on water and power. Multiple speakers and commissioners noted that the City of Gainesville earlier indicated it lacked capacity for the higher water estimates and the applicant said it was seeking a revised letter using lower water-use assumptions. Commissioners asked the applicant to provide utility letters of intent and detailed capacity studies; the applicant said a power/water study would take about 12 weeks to complete. The Commission agreed to table the matter to Oct. 6, 2025 (motion by Shannon Davidson; vote 3-0, Braswell recused, Sosebee absent).
