The La Porte Development Corporation entered executive session to discuss pending or contemplated litigation related to the termination of an incentive agreement with Shelley Whalen on behalf of Dimension Comics; the meeting reconvened with no action taken.
The chair announced the board would meet in closed session with the city attorney, city manager and economic development manager to discuss the claim. The board reported it reconvened at 5:36 p.m. and that no action had been taken in executive session.
In open session, Haley, staff member, gave staff reports: she recapped a Small Business Administration marketing session that drew 15 attendees and said the city will host a Texas Downtown Regional Roundtable on Feb. 20 to showcase Main Street activities. Haley said she will attend ICSC Red River in San Antonio and will provide updates in March. The board set its next meeting for March 23 and adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
