The La Porte City Council approved its consent agenda, which included equipment purchases, professional services and appointments. Staff asked the council to authorize $150,733 for five flight pump replacements with Hahn Equipment Company Inc. ($143,733 plus $10,000 contingency) and a professional services agreement with CONSORT North America in the amount of $235,628.25 for sidewalk improvements phase 3.
The consent agenda also included appointments to the City of La Porte Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 1 Board of Directors and changes to Keep La Porte Beautiful committee representation. Council approved a four‑year drone program for the police department with an annual cost of $59,999 in years two through four (total $179,997), and adopted resolutions to accept State Homeland Security Program grants of $200,000 for a mobile barricade project and $60,000 for a portable x‑ray device. The motion to approve the consent agenda was made and seconded and the mayor announced the motion carries.
