The La Porte Development Corporation granted a six-month extension to Main 101 Grill and Bar for façade, patio and parking-lot repairs because Harris County engineering requires approval for patio additions larger than 400 square feet.
Haley, staff member, told the board that county engineering approval is required for any addition over 400 square feet that encroaches on certain roadways and that the applicant has been working through permitting. "Harris County engineering requires approval by them for any addition over 400 square feet," Haley said, explaining the delay. The applicant requested an extension of the enhancement-grant deadline from March 24, 2025, to March 24, 2026.
A board member moved to approve the six-month extension and the board voted 6–0 to grant it. Staff noted the applicant had been in contact and expected to begin work after obtaining approvals.
