The La Porte Development Corporation approved an enhancement grant agreement not to exceed $41,326 for Anchored Restorations LLC to fund façade and property improvements at 914 South Broadway Street.
Haley, staff member, told the board the property previously appeared on the city's dangerous buildings list and the applicant has completed prior work on a neighboring property. "This is what the property used to look like...it was on the city's dangerous buildings list," Haley said while presenting photos and proposed materials. The board asked clarifying questions about scope—roofing, siding, stonework, windows and storefront glass—and confirmed that parking improvements were not included.
A motion to approve the agreement was made, seconded and passed 6–0. Because the award exceeds the board’s administrative threshold, staff will forward the agreement to city council for final action.
