Potter County approved the purchase of a Rosenbauer MAC water tender fire apparatus, a budgeted 3,000-gallon water tanker for the county's fire-rescue operations.
Richard (facilities/fire) told commissioners the unit came in at budget and that the county has another tanker on order; delivery timelines for apparatus are multi-year, he said. "This is a budgeted truck. It came in right at budget," Richard said. The court moved and approved the purchase with funds identified in the capital accounts.
Commissioners noted lead times for apparatus procurement and the need to manage fleet replacement planning; staff said delivery typically takes about three years and the county has two tankers on order or coming into the procurement queue.
