At the June 23, 2025 meeting the Geneva County Commission recorded the following formal actions and outcomes:
• Approved minutes of June 9, 2025 (motion Jeff Hatcher; second Bart Wilks). Vote: 4-0.
• Adopted resolution opting Geneva County into the Back-to-School sales-tax exemption (resolution #06-23-2025-1). Motion: Weston Spivey. Vote: 4-0.
• Adopted resolution opting Geneva County into the Severe Weather Preparedness sales-tax exemption (resolution #06-23-2025-2). Motion: Todd Brannon. Vote: 4-0.
• Awarded lime rock hauling contract to CR Pate Logging, Inc. (motion Jeff Hatcher). Vote: 4-0.
• Awarded crushed concrete and hauling contract to Johnston Trucking (motion Todd Brannon). Vote: 4-0.
• Approved Oak Grove Park subdivision plat (four lots on County Road 16). Motion: Todd Brannon. Vote: 4-0.
• Pulled a purchase order to reserve two dump trucks (nonbinding). Motion: Todd Brannon; second Jeff Hatcher. Vote: 4-0.

Several other procurement items (including the CDBG paving contract) were discussed and remain pending; Southeast Alabama Regional Planning and Development will certify the paving bids and return with a recommendation for a future vote.
