Board told 10 FTE added to sustain counselor in every school under 2627 budget

"Under this grant is that's what brought a counselor to every school. And so the board made the decision that we wanted to continue to have that social, emotional, mental health support in every school, and so we are sustaining that FTE," she said.
Board members voiced support for the strategic alignment of the staffing additions and emphasized that the finance committee and full board will consider final allocations after the assessed valuation is certified. No formal vote on the specific hires took place at the session; the staffing plan was presented as part of the staff-recommended preliminary budget.
