The Orange County Legislature on Jan. 22 approved creation of a Transportation Task Force Committee under Section 2.02(q) of the County Charter. Legislator Genesis Ramos moved the resolution; Chairwoman Laurie R. Tautel described the task force’s role as working with the Department of Planning to study countywide transportation feasibility and address rider concerns, then report recommendations to the Physical Services Committee.
Tautel said the goal is to create a solid, countywide transportation plan and to address deficiencies identified by riders. The motion carried unanimously.
