Commissioners adopt public-participation and agenda-request forms to streamline comments and item requests

To reduce interruptions and improve the record, the court adopted a public participation form to register speakers and a separate form to request items be added to future agendas; both will be available at the podium and online, and the court voted to adopt the procedures 5–0.
The court adopted two procedural forms aimed at improving meeting flow and the accuracy of the record: a public participation form for members of the public who wish to speak on agenda items (three-minute limit unless extended by the court) and a request-for-inclusion form for citizens or staff to propose future agenda items.
"This is an attempt to bring some efficiency in that regard as well as accuracy to the record that the court the clerk keeps," Scott said while explaining the participation form, which requires speakers to identify themselves and indicate the subject of their remarks. He told the court the forms will be available at the podium, at the county clerk's office and online. The court voted to adopt both forms as procedures.
