Coosa County Commissioners approved the Highway Department’s purchase of a backhoe priced at $127,980.64 from Warrior Tractor & Equipment Company and authorized the use of up to $22,059.02 in ARPA revenue-replacement funds toward that purchase. Commissioner John Forbus moved the purchase approval; Vice-Chair Brandon Davis seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The Commission also passed a related ARPA resolution authorizing the county administrator to expend the ARPA contribution and directing the ARPA Program Director to ensure the expenditure complies with Treasury guidance. The resolution instructs that expenditures must be obligated by Dec. 31, 2024 and expended by Dec. 31, 2026.
