Coosa County Commission tables appropriations and insurance-cost action, sets recess until Oct. 22
Summary
During old business the commission unanimously voted to table appropriations, to table absorbing the health-insurance cost/increase, and to table budget amendments for sheriff, probate and revenue; the commission recessed to Oct. 22, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.
The commission addressed several old-business items and tabled them by unanimous vote. Commissioner John Forbus moved to table the appropriations item; Commissioner Bertha K. McElrath seconded and the motion was approved. Commissioner Bertha K. McElrath moved to table the proposal for the commission to absorb the health-insurance cost/increase; Ronnie Joiner seconded and the motion was approved. Commissioner Ronnie Joiner moved to table amendments to the sheriff's, probate, and revenue budgets; Vice-Chair Brandon Davis seconded and the motion was approved.
After tabling those items the commission recessed the meeting until Oct. 22, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. The motion to recess was moved by Commissioner John Forbus and seconded by Commissioner Bertha K. McElrath.
