The Sisters Urban Renewal Agency adopted its fiscal year 2026–27 budget on June 10, approving URA Resolution 2026-63 after a brief public hearing and unanimous vote.
Joe O'Neil summarized the URA budget, saying it follows a similar outline to the city's plan and shows renewed activity in URA project appropriations. "We've got, you know, debt service that we took with the conventional loan and we got some transfers from the debt service fund with some fund balance going into the project fund," O'Neil said. He also noted the URA uses a full tax-increment levy rather than a fixed-rate levy.
There were no public comments on the budget. Member McDougall moved to approve the resolution and the motion carried on an aye vote with no nays. The board's adoption means the URA's appropriations and transfer plan for the coming fiscal year are now in place; staff did not list any amendments at the meeting.
The board closed the hearing and proceeded to the next agenda items. The URA will implement the budget as approved and has authority to execute related transfers and debt-service arrangements under the adopted resolution.
