Coosa County renews ACCA workers' compensation membership through 2027

The Coosa County Commission on Oct. 22 voted unanimously to renew its participation in the Association of County Commissions of Alabama (ACCA) Workers' Compensation Self-Insurers Fund through Sept. 30, 2027. Commissioner John Forbus moved that Chair Lamar Daugherty sign the resolution; the motion was seconded by Commissioner Ronnie Joiner and approved 4–0 with Vice‑Chair Brandon Davis absent.
The resolution notes the fund provided a 2024 Longevity Bonus to active participants and states that if Coosa County voluntarily withdraws before Sept. 30, 2027, it agrees to return the 2027 Longevity Bonus plus five percent annual interest. The resolution text was entered into the minutes as adopted by the commission.
