Commission hears updates on courthouse/farm center renovations, inmate housing agreements and SEEDS grant work

The Commission received several administrative updates on county facilities, interlocal agreements and grant work.
Chairman Toby Seay said he and maintenance met with JNB Services for training on HVAC units, air handlers, thermostats and automatic bathroom fixtures; Attorney Phil Eldridge stated both the Courthouse and Farm Center renovation projects are 100% complete pending one manufacturer-supplied part that the contractor will install when received. On inmate housing, Seay said Hartford and Samson agreements have been received and the City of Slocomb expected to approve its agreement at an upcoming council meeting; a meeting with the City of Geneva was planned for the week.
Seay also told commissioners that JMR+H will attend the next meeting with a 100% design completion on the multi-purpose arena and that the Houston, Henry, Dale, Geneva County Economic Development Authority will complete the SEEDS grant application on the county's behalf. No new contracts were executed at the meeting; the Commission received status updates and next steps.
