Floyd County council approves Health Department appropriations for supplies, insurance and capital work

Charlotte Bass, representing the Floyd County Health Department, presented a set of appropriation requests that the council approved on Feb. 11. The items comprised $2,249.82 for supplies from the Health Issues & Challenges fund, $9,000 from the School Liaison fund for health insurance, $3,318.36 from the ISHD-COVID Response fund for contractual employees, and $72,671.90 from the Local Public Health Services fund for capital building work.
Each request was moved and seconded and passed unanimously. The capital appropriation for building work was the largest single Health Department item recorded at the meeting; funds cited were available in the named fund balances reported to the council.
