The Miami County Board of Zoning Appeals unanimously approved VAR #134-25 to allow a used motor vehicle dealership on 0.20 acres of A-1-zoned land at 1493 E. State Road 18 in Clay Township.
Applicant Lawrence Gisi said the operation would display used American-made cars, replace existing signage, has completed heating and cooling work, would operate 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Friday and be closed Saturdays, and "will only employ myself." Gisi told the board there would be customer parking in the front and back of the lot and that vehicle repairs would be outsourced to a separate mechanic rather than performed on-site.
After questions from board members about parking and lighting, Attorney Mark Frantz tallied ballots for the variance. The board found in favor on all five required findings, and the transcript records VAR #134-25 passed 5–0. No public comment opposed the variance during the hearing.
