Council continues work on Zoning Overlay District and plans to publish design guidelines

Voelker reported that a narrowed version of a Zoning Overlay District had been prepared with input from Ms. Thomas and Solicitor Yazan Ashrawi and presented it for council review. The discussion focused on clarifying the Certificate of Appropriateness process and whether WSA should be involved in the continued review.
Voelker and others noted the Design Guidelines will be added to the village website for community access and that additional work on the overlay and related materials will continue. No formal vote or amendment was recorded; the minutes state only that more work will be done on the overlay draft.
