The Miami County Board of Zoning Appeals unanimously elected Jamie Hopper as president and Grant Cade as vice president for 2026 during its Jan. 21 meeting.
Grant Cade nominated Jamie Hopper for president, and Sue Ellen Sopher seconded; the motion carried with "all 'aye'" votes. Sue Ellen Sopher nominated Grant Cade for vice president and Brent Pomerhn seconded; nominations were closed and the board approved the slate by voice vote. The board also approved its December meeting minutes during the same organizational portion of the session.
The actions complete the board's annual organizational tasks and allow regular hearings to proceed under the newly confirmed leadership. No public comment was recorded on the elections.
