Marble Cliff Council hears Upper Arlington proposal to share cost of new tornado siren

Ms. Evans told Council that Upper Arlington is proposing to purchase and install the new siren, then bill Marble Cliff for about 25% of the purchase and installation cost; the cost of a new siren was described in the transcript as approximately $65,000. She said Marble Cliff would no longer pay an annual maintenance fee of about $2,700 if the siren is installed and owned by Upper Arlington. Council agreed it was interested in pursuing the option and asked Ms. Evans to follow up so an agreement could be drafted for later Council consideration.
