Marble Cliff Council approves consent agenda, hears budget and infrastructure updates

The Council of the Village of Marble Cliff met Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, at Village Hall and approved the consent agenda and routine financial reports by unanimous votes.
Mayor Matthew Cincione opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. and the Council confirmed attendance. Kendy A. Troiano moved to approve the Consent Agenda; Joanne C. Taylor seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Later in the meeting Matthew R. Jolson moved to approve the October 2024 financial reports; Ms. Troiano seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The Council heard a second reading of O-2721-24, the ordinance making appropriations for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2025; Fiscal Officer Stephanie Evans reviewed specific expenditures included in the proposed budget. The Mayor and staff also provided updates on local development and infrastructure matters, including residents moving into the Packard development and ongoing discussions about a potential rail acquisition following passage of the COTA levy.
Other items on the agenda included presentations of multiple ordinances for second reading (including O-2723-24 and O-2725-24) and introduction for first reading of a legal services contract, O-2726-24. The meeting concluded with a unanimous motion to adjourn; Mayor Cincione adjourned the meeting at 8:00 p.m.
