Commission affirms administrative documents, appoints counsel and elects officers for 2026

At its Jan. 22 meeting, the Allen County Plan Commission handled multiple non‑public hearing items. The Commission deferred action on SDP‑2025‑0014 (Crystal Cove), a 34‑unit secondary development plan, to the February meeting. Commissioners then approved the Administrative Manual and affirmed the Rules of Procedure by unanimous votes.
The Governing Board recommended retaining legal counsel Robert Eherenman (Haller & Colvin Law Offices) for 2026; the Commission approved the appointment and authorized Plan Commission President to sign the Uniform Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement documenting counsel’s county salary and the law office’s vendor billing relationship with the county.
The Commission also completed its elections and appointments for 2026: David Bailey was elected Plan Commission President; Adam Day was elected Vice President; Benjamin J. Roussel was elected Secretary. Appointments to the Board of Zoning Appeals, Urban Transportation Advisory Board, Executive Committee members and alternates, and zoning hearing officers (Patrick Rew and Christian Beebe) were all approved unanimously.
The minutes note that the next public hearing is Feb. 12, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. and the next business meeting is Feb. 19, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 1:55 p.m.
