County awaits State letter after charter relinquished for Gooding Legion Hall; health-department septic issue resolved

Commissioner Mark E. Bolduc reported receiving a call from David Clark notifying the Board that the State is relinquishing the Legion Hall charter to Gooding County and that "the keys to the building are being kept in the vault in the Clerk’s office." The Board said it is waiting for a formal letter from the State to determine next steps for the property.
In committee reports, Commissioner Vern Eames said the Health Department had an issue with a septic system near Tuttle where a property owner installed a septic system without approval; the matter has been resolved and the owner is complying with Health Department requirements. Commissioner Ronald Buhler said Mid-Snake River Water requested that Planning and Zoning participate in its monthly meetings (in-person or by Zoom) and Buhler will contact Mike Kerswell about staff attendance.
No formal motions or votes were recorded on the Legion Hall or the committee items during the Feb. 2 meeting; the items were noted in correspondence and committee reports for follow-up.
