At the end of the Jan. 8 meeting, commissioners agreed to present their priorities for the year at future meetings and to identify specific issues — such as predator control, mule deer and dispatch/E911 coordination — they want the board to pursue.
Commissioner Travis announced that he and his wife are hosting the Elko Community Concert Series, a four-show season that includes a performance on Jan. 18; he encouraged residents to attend and said it is an effort to bring professional artists and family entertainment to the community. Commissioners exchanged brief welcoming remarks for newly seated members and the chair adjourned the meeting.
The board closed by reminding the public about upcoming meeting dates and opportunities to participate in Wednesday’s meeting where deferred items will be revisited.
