Tim Berry of Crowe and Brad Bingham of Barnes & Thornburg explained that the ordinance would allow bonds in a maximum principal amount not to exceed $3.2 million and permit issuance of a bond anticipation note pending the bond sale. The public hearing opened and closed with no members of the public speaking, and Council President Danny Short noted the hearing pertained to the Health Department building purchase.
Dale Bagshaw moved to suspend the rules and approve the ordinance; Matt Millies seconded both motions and the Council approved them unanimously. The ordinance authorizes County officials to proceed with the bond issuance process and related matters; the transcript records no conditions or amendments to the ordinance during the meeting.
