Public Health Director Nicole Anjeski told the board the department will retain a small portion of JUUL settlement funds to support local work and plans an $85,000 request for proposals to distribute part of the award. Anjeski said the funds are arriving in increments and staff hope the RFP will be approved by June.
Anjeski and Epidemiology Manager Hinal Patel gave an update on Healthy Homes grant applications: the application was posted on the 10th and by the 13th CAPCO had submitted 12 applications with six qualifying; Hinal Patel is assisting with administration of the program. The minutes do not specify total available grant funding or final awardees at this time.
