Parks staff pursue large grants for Deauville Island bridge and Emerson Park improvements

Finally, Planning staff are assisting a Municipal Parks & Recreation Grant submission that could provide up to $1,000,000 for a new Deauville Island playground; that grant requires a 10% match using a mix of in‑kind salary and cash.
All three grant deadlines were noted (wastewater application April 11, NBRC pre‑application April 18); staff said they will bring authorizing resolutions through the legislative cycle as required.
