Cortland County Community Services Board reelects leaders, tables meeting time change

The Cortland County Community Services Board unanimously approved minutes from October 25, 2025 and February 26, 2026 and completed officer elections at its March 23, 2026 meeting.
Alex Mikowski moved to appoint Gail Spitzer as Clerk of the Boards; Jackie Leaf seconded and the appointment was approved unanimously. Vice Chair Alaina Zapf moved to elect Amanda Hudson as Chair, and Jackie Leaf seconded that motion; it also passed unanimously. Later, members voted unanimously to elect Alaina Zapf as Vice Chair following a motion from Alex Mikowski and a second from Michele Gravel.
Board members discussed a proposal to shift meeting times to Monday afternoons to accommodate relocation to the new Mental Health Department building at 111 Port Watson St., but the motion to change meeting day/time was tabled pending a poll of membership. The board is currently operating with 12 of 15 seats filled and asked members to forward candidate recommendations and applications to the Chair, Vice Chair, Director of Community Services or the Clerk.
The board adjourned at 12:17 p.m.; its next regular meeting is set for April 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Room 302 of the County Office Building.
