Commissioner Matt Reedy moved to approve the contract with a not-to-exceed amount of $662,700; Commissioner Bob Gillaspy seconded and the motion passed unanimously. County Attorney Susan Bevers cautioned that one bid option included a health services administrator and asked the board to confirm that the county would not pay for duties already covered by current staff.
The contract was approved with the higher hours and mental-health coverage; the county will finalize contract details and confirm the selected option and any staffing overlaps before execution.
