The board recorded resignations from Christina DePaula (Family Services, effective Jan. 28, 2025), Jonathan Perez (Emergency Services, effective Jan. 24, 2025), Jeremy Clark (Emergency Services, effective Feb. 8, 2025) and Austin Hendrickson (Tioga County Prison, effective Feb. 21, 2025). The board then approved multiple hires: Samantha Caber as a custodian at $13.50 per hour with benefits; Scott Shutt as a part‑time dispatcher at $33.00 per hour (no benefits); Carman Hallisy as a part‑time dispatcher at $19.00 per hour (no benefits); Susan Slocum as a dispatcher‑in‑training at $19.00 per hour with benefits; and Nathan Shughart as a part‑time on‑call corrections officer at $13.81 per hour (no benefits).
Commissioners also approved January 2025 payroll and benefits totaling $2,075,349.47 and January 2025 accounts payable of $4,119,561.28. Motions throughout the meeting were moved and seconded overwhelmingly by Commissioners Sam VanLoon and Shane Nickerson and carried unanimously by the three‑member board.
