Finance Committee approves broad slate of transmittals, authorizations and appointments

Items recorded as approved 5-0 included authorizations to release an RFP for a public-safety radio system; execute an addendum with Flex Financial for Stryker EMS equipment; amend the 2026 county budget to re-appropriate EMS training funds; apply for public-safety grants for the Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Management; accept the Criminal Justice Discovery Reform Grant from the Division of Criminal Justice Services; and execute contracts for West Publishing and Axon user licenses for the District Attorney’s Office.
Additional unanimous approvals covered contracts and agreements across multiple departments: Soil and Water Conservation District funding for the State Septic System Replacement Grant Program, construction-administration supplemental agreements, awards for highway-building renovations, an indemnification agreement with NYS Department of Transportation for special hauling permits, intermunicipal stormwater coalition agreements, appointments to the Wayne County Water and Sewer Authority, reappointments to the regional Land Bank board, and authorization for several public-health and aging-related contracts. The minutes note other personnel and budget authorizations (managerial salary schedule adoption, hiring authorizations, tuition reimbursement amendments) and that all departmental monthly reports were provided in advance of the meeting.
