Plymouth County commissioners uphold termination following executive-session grievance

The Plymouth County Commissioners reported they upheld a previous termination decision relating to Alfred Jones following a closed executive session on Feb. 26, 2026. Chair Sandra M. Wright announced the outcome when the board returned to open session.
Administrator Frank Basler said the board directed him to confirm the decision in writing to SEIU; Basler will send the letter as instructed. The board had convened an executive session earlier in the meeting to discuss a grievance "concerning the reputation, character, physical condition or mental health, rather than professional competence, of Alfred Jones," and related personnel matters. No further action or appeal schedule was announced at the meeting.
