Hazlett selected chair and Duffee vice-chair for Clark County BZA

At the start of its Jan. 22 meeting the Clark County Board of Zoning Appeals held officer elections for 2026. A motion to appoint Paul Hazlett as Chairperson passed (motion by Tom Duffee, seconded by Breanne Parcels); Hazlett recorded an abstention on the appointment vote. Later the board appointed Tom Duffee as Vice-Chairperson (motion by Chair Hazlett, seconded by Ms. Parcels) with a majority vote.
Chair Hazlett opened the meeting at 2:02 p.m., asked for roll call, and presided over the agenda. The board then moved on to substantive cases after confirming officer appointments and approving minutes from Dec. 18, 2025.
The appointments are procedural and will remain in effect for the 2026 calendar year unless changed by future board action.
