Commissioners add $120,000 to public-safety building coordination contract

The Clark County commissioners approved Resolution 2026-0079 to amend the Local Gov Consultants contract for Phase 2 of public-safety building project coordination. The amendment adds $120,000, raising the contract from $33,800 to a $153,800 not-to-exceed total and extends the amendment effective dates to Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2027.
During discussion Commissioner Patterson asked about bidding requirements. County Administrator Jennifer Hutchinson responded that bidding is not required for the work because it is a professional service. The amendment passed on a unanimous roll call; the County Administrator was authorized to execute the amendment and related purchase orders.
