During the Town Manager's Report, Tim Stevens informed the Selectboard that APP currently has about 35 employees and that the company expects to expand. Stevens said he had spoken to Glen Jackson of APP, who reported APP is finalizing contracts with "DOW (Department of War)" and that APP's internal water system recovers and recycles contaminants instead of discharging them into the town wastewater system.
Selectboard members asked for more technical detail; Selectman Sue Collins requested the chemical formula for the treatment process. Collins also asked whether Brian Sullivan had signed APP's Industrial Discharge Permit; Stevens said Sullivan had not signed the permit. No permit signing or enforcement action was recorded at the meeting.
