The Colebrook Selectboard voted unanimously May 12 to increase the Colebrook Water Department's base rate from $75 to $90 per quarter, effective July 1, 2026. The board directed that the new rate be reflected on water and sewer bills dated Oct. 10, 2026.
Selectman Sue Collins moved to raise the rate and Selectman Ray Gorman seconded; the motion passed with all members in favor. Town Manager Tim Stevens presented the recommendation during the Town Manager's Report and the board approved it as part of the regular agenda. The board did not record a separate roll-call tally beyond "all approved." The increase was described in the meeting as an update to the base rate; no separate ordinance or ordinance number was cited.
The board discussed billing logistics and how the change will appear on quarterly bills. Staff said the October 10 billing will reflect the new base rate. The meeting did not include a detailed breakdown of how the additional revenue will be allocated in departmental budgets.
