The Tioga County Board of Commissioners on March 11 approved several personnel actions across county departments. The board approved the hire of Robert Penzone III as Clerk in the Prothonotary & Clerk of Courts at $14.50 per hour with benefits effective March 3, 2025, and the hire of Tyler Corwin as a full‑time Deputy Sheriff at $18.50 per hour effective March 10, 2025. The minutes also record the resignation of Jeffrey Rosenheck, Emergency Services Training Coordinator, effective March 6, 2025.
The board unanimously approved additional hires including Grace Field as a Foster Care Caseworker Assistant at $16.15 per hour; Christopher Smith as Emergency Management Coordinator at $58,000 per year (effective March 24, 2025); Emily Owlett as a part‑time on‑call Corrections Officer at $13.81 per hour (no benefits); Brady Streich as a full‑time telecommunicator‑in‑training at $19.00 per hour (effective March 24, 2025); and Chester Johnson as Maintenance Worker 1 at $17.50 per hour with benefits. Each hire was approved by motion (mover and seconder recorded in the minutes) and carried unanimously.
