Salary Board creates two positions, approves rate increase and deputy appointments
Summary
The Tioga County Salary Board created a part-time Emergency Management Coordinator and a C&Y Caseworker Assistant/Housing & Safety Specialist position, approved a $1.50/hr. rate increase for a probation officer, and appointed two First Deputies with $500 stipends.
Immediately after the commissioners’ meeting, the Tioga County Salary Board met and approved several personnel and compensation items. The Salary Board (Sam VanLoon, Marc Rice, Shane Nickerson and Kera Hackett) unanimously approved creating a part-time Emergency Management Coordinator position at $20.00/hr., no benefits, and creating a C&Y Caseworker Assistant / Housing and Safety Specialist position at $16.50/hr.
The board also approved a $1.50/hr. rate increase for Probation Officer Justin Buckwalter for completion of required training and designated him as Fully Qualified. Angela Roosa and Breona Roosa were appointed as First Deputies in the Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts Office, each to receive a $500 annual stipend.
