The Tioga County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a package of personnel actions at its Oct. 8 meeting in Wellsboro. Commissioners Sam VanLoon, Marc Rice and Shane Nickerson approved hires including Cindy Alexander (Voter Registration and Elections Technician, $16.00/hr., with benefits, effective 9/30/24) and Jeffrey Rosenheck (Emergency Services Training Coordinator, $19.00/hr., no benefits, effective 10/7/24), and several part-time corrections hires.
The board also approved promotions in the county’s emergency services: Lisa Rice to Director, Emergency Services at $90,000 per year (continuing as 911 Coordinator); James Douglass to Deputy Director 911 at $70,500; and Marti Shabloski to Deputy Director EMA at $60,500. The board unanimously approved the termination of Angel Negron (Custodian), effective 9/5/24, and approved a transfer of Angela Roosa from the Prothonotary Office to Custodian in Maintenance ($12.75/hr., with benefits, effective 10/2/24). The minutes record that all votes on these items were three ayes and no nays.
