Commissioners approve fleet leases, legal contract, tax refunds and July expenses
Summary
At its Aug. 13 meeting Tioga County approved three fleet leases, a one-year contract with an attorney for Public Defender services, several tax refunds, and July payroll and accounts payable totaling over $3.2 million combined.
The Board approved three lease agreements through Enterprise Fleet Management to replace three Ford Escapes in the Assessment office with Chevrolet Trailblazers at $573.61 per month each. A one-year Independent Contractor Agreement with Jamie L. Cook to provide legal services to clients on behalf of the Tioga County Public Defender’s office was approved at $75.00/hour and will renew automatically.
The Board also approved county real estate tax refunds for named taxpayers (examples in the minutes: Kurtis & Julia Watterson $200.39; Mountain Breezes Farm LLC $89.92; others listed) and approved July 2024 payroll & benefits totaling $1,326,415.15 and July accounts payable of $1,910,826.08. Motions on these financial items were moved and seconded by commissioners and carried unanimously.
