The Board of Cherokee County Commissioners met Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, and unanimously approved the minutes from its Oct. 27 meeting after a motion by Commissioner Jack Garner and a second from Commissioner Cory Moates. Chair Myra Carlisle Frazier called the session to order at 8:00 a.m. in Commission Room #109 at the Cherokee County Courthouse in Columbus, Kansas.
Later in the meeting, Chair Frazier moved that the board enter a 10-minute attorney-client executive session with County Counselor Kurt Benecke present; Commissioner Moates seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The session was scheduled to return at 9:52 a.m. and was extended by five minutes. According to the minutes, no action was taken after the executive session. Commissioner Frazier moved to adjourn at 9:58 a.m.; Commissioner Garner seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes were attested by County Clerk Taylor Brown on Nov. 10, 2025.
