Staff updated the board on a finance manager hire. The authority interviewed multiple candidates and selected Andrew (Andy) Keen, who is currently employed with the Architect of the Capitol and will be available after Aug. 10. Staff said Keen has federal experience and will help establish programmatic controls, reconcile past operating and capital expenditures and produce monthly snapshots of operating and capital results.
"We interviewed Andrew Keen... He is currently employed, until August 10 at the Architect of the Capitol," staff said. The presenter said Andy has already been sent deal documents for TPAC, the Titans and Fallon and has posed a lengthy list of initial questions; onboarding will include Metro Finance and a Metro point of contact to ease the transition. Staff said additional project management hires are planned over the next 3–6 months to assist program delivery.
Next steps: onboarding with Metro partners, reconciliations of historical operating and capital expenditures, and recruitment for 1–2 project management staff.
